How to Give Tack Screen Capture Permissions on macOS
Apple has required screen capture permissions on macOS versions 10.15 and above. To ensure that Tack is able to capture screenshots of your screen, you will need to grant our app access. Please follow the steps below to do that:
Give Tack screen capture permissions
On your Mac, select System Preferences from the dock.
Click the icon labeled Security & Privacy.
Under the Privacy tab, click the lock then enter your administrator password. Navigate to Screen Recording, then place a checkmark on Tack.
Troubleshoot issues with screenshots
There is a common issue that all applications using screen recording on Catalina (and higher versions) can face. If you have followed the above instructions and screenshots are still not getting captured, please follow the steps below:
Uncheck Tack from the allowed applications in Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording.
Quit the Security and Privacy page.
Open Tack again.
In case the steps don’t work, then you will need to:
- First, open Spotlight by clicking the magnifying glass icon or pressing CMD + SPACE.
- Next, type “Terminal” and double click the Terminal application when you see it listed in Spotlight.
- After that, In the terminal window type “tccutil reset All” and press enter.
- Finally, open Tack.
